Your body responds to the way you think, feel, and act. This is called the mind/body connection.
For instance, you may develop a stomach ulcer, high blood pressure or other health conditions after an especially stressful time such as the death of a loved one.
When you’re feeling unsupported, you may develop lower back pain. If you’re feeling overburdened and used by loved ones or your boss, you may have nagging neck and shoulder pain. And when you’re feeling like you can’t stand another moment of a stressful or traumatic situation, you may experience weakness or pain in your hips, knees, legs, or feet.
After nearly 20 years as a chiropractor, I have always worked with patients who are experiencing pain. But more recently, an increasing number of my patients want to know what they can do for themselves as they battle high blood pressure, weight gain, diabetes, and other conditions. They want to know steps they can take to avoid taking more prescription drugs or resorting to surgery.
I can always offer chiropractic adjustments, and that will help resolve some issues with pain. But if emotional stress, depression, and trauma remain unresolved, the physical pain eventually will return. As I learned to deal with my own physical conditions that were related to my emotions, I have become a better health coach because I’m more successful at helping you learn steps to take to help yourself.
Many years ago, I suffered from extremely painful menstrual cramping and an irregular cycle. My mother took me to the doctor, and I received prescriptions. I took the medication, but it resulted in weight gain and me not feeling like myself. So, I sought alternatives to feel better. I learned that eating a balanced diet and regular exercise helped immensely.
Later, while I successfully helped patients deal with their physical and emotional issues, I discovered I was depressed and doing nothing to help myself. I saw a therapist for a year, and during those sessions I worked to unpack trapped emotional trauma. I journaled as often as I could, writing down how I was feeling, why I was feeling that way and what I could do about it. It helped immensely.
As you go through my coaching programs, you will learn many techniques to help you overcome your physical and emotional health issues. You’ll learn to use herbs such as curcumin, turmeric, ginger, and garlic. You will also learn how these herbs can help you stabilize your blood pressure, decrease inflammation and many other issues.
You’ll learn that you can effortlessly shed weight when you shed the depression and other emotional issues that you have ignored.
I’ll help you get rid of those unwanted pounds by helping you to unpack those old emotional wounds and start moving more. You’ll be surprised at how your body will heal itself once you’ve done the work.
It is my passion and pleasure to help you find ways to help yourself. Reach out to me to take the next steps on your healing journey.
